Published mid-monthly with Summer Stakes Bonus Issues, The Sportsman is a trade magazine for passionate harness racing participants and fans looking for unique and in-depth information. What was once more of a newspaper has become a 9.5x13" over-sized, full colour, features magazine dominated by superior photography and design. Since 1989, The Canadian Sportsman has been located in the small southwestern Ontario hamlet of Straffordville. Each edition is produced and printed from this location.

Why Advertise With Us?
The Canadian Sportsman focuses solely on harness racing and the standardbred industry. While our magazine is international in its scope, the bulk of our readership is centered within the hub of breeding and racing activity, Ontario. A full colour magazine, oversized at 9.5"x13" and published mid-monthly with Summer Stakes Bonus Issues, The Sportsman is everywhere it needs to be. Aside from reaching our paid subscribers, issues are distributed at racetracks, training centres, horse sales and horse farms across North America. Our circulation is audited by the CCAB and we are mailed as a "time sensitive" publication to ensure the quickest delivery possible.
With one of the highest renewal rates in the magazine industry, our readership surveys show an overwhelming approval rate on all aspects of the magazine. The Sportsman is the exclusive information vehicle for the Standardbred Breeders of Ontario Association (SBOA), a membership based association for active breeders within the industry.
