The Red Mile is proud
to host a $20,000 Trotting Monte Race on Sunday Afternoon September 30. The race
is sponsored by Mr. Alan Leavitt, Elizabeth Caldwell, Bluestone Farm, Walnut
Hall LTD, Diamond Creek Farm, Mr. Peter Gerry and Mr. William B. Weaver.
Entries will be taken
on Monday September 24 at the The Red Mile Race Office by 10:00AM. The Racing
Secretary is Billy Perkins and the telephone numbers are (859) 258-7670 or
258-7623. All riders must have a current RUS License from the United States
Trotting Association and must provide their own horse. All horses racing are
required to have a recent negative Coggins Test and EHV vaccination. The race
will have ten horses, if more than 10 horses are entered the race will be an
open draw by lot. The purse will be divided as follows: 50-25-12-8-5 percent. In
addition a $200 gift certificate will be award to the winning rider from
Finntack. The race will be conducted between the 5th and 6th races on Sunday
