Harness racing has had quite a season thus far in 2013. Many
of the marquee events were held through the month of August and the
product is strong. Hambletonian Day at The Meadowlands was a stellar
card, followed a few short weeks later by the blockbuster Super Saturday
program at Pocono and the Gold Cup & Saucer at Red Shores. I take
encouragement from those displays that we still have a viable,
entertaining product when the stars align.
summer turns to fall, the Grand Circuit continues to gather steam.
September begins with a powerful slate of stakes at Mohawk Racetrack,
continues with the first leg of pacing's Triple Crown, the Cane Pace at
Tioga then winds through the
traditional stop at Delaware for the Little Brown Jug and closes out
with The Red Mile. Fantastic!
